November has been crazy. So many things have changed so fast, that I haven’t even had the time to wait a moment, take a deep breath, and think clearly. Not that I feel bad about anything that has happened. But it has just been crazy. Never did I expect things to change so fast. And so many things at that. Its like I am hitting boundaries all over the field, but there are only 10 more balls left before play for the day ends. . Just wish I had a couple of months more to enjoy the moments better.

We went for dinner at an Indian restaurant tonight and we had a Sardarji sitting on the table beside us. We started talking about Sardars in India and how they are usually big and strong and Manoj said that sardarjis can be compared to a big old black woman in some neighborhood in any US city because they both do, owing to their aggression and attitude, very well, control the neighborhood without fear of anybody, gangstas or otherwise…. …hahaha…

all of us on the table laughed very hard.. worthless but brilliant moments

Its funny how punctuation marks, when used correctly, can change the meaning of some sentences… I have been bantering with a friend of mine for the last few days… we’ve been pulling each others legs… and at one point, I said:

“Just remember; 100,000 sperm and I was the fastest..”

Pretty soon she replied:

“100,000 sperm and you were the fastest?”

that just cracked me up …An italic, a question mark and a smiley can turn things totally against you!!

Was getting bored in the office and in one of my daily diversions, landed up on this video…and havent stopped laughing since then…human ingenuity (and stupidity, ofcourse ) is amazing… I have always respected the survival skills of people living close to the railway tracks in Mumbai and kinda pitied their hard life. Guess the Thai people just took it one step further. Watch the video to know what I am talking about!! Really amazing and very fast!!

Was thinking for quite some time now to move over to wordpress from blogger. Well here it is….and from what I can see, WordPress is far far better than blogger…and its open source.. 8) …they had a feature to import my old posts from blogger with the click of a button…very neat feature…. am happy that posts of the last 2 1/2 years at blogger are not lost…the whole interface is very web 2.0 (I would love to develop a web app as good as this)…The only downside though is that it does not let the users edit the CSS without buying an upgrade..which can be a real let down for advanced users…I was a little dissapointed too..but oh well…can’t get everything for free….

Now I just hope that the frequency and quality of my posts become way better too!!

I guess after about 10-15 years, I watched an episode of Malgudi Days today… the one with Swami…and I enjoyed it thoroughly…. in the first 5 minutes I could understand why my uncle used to call me Swami (he still does sometimes )…. it really felt amazing..i could just recount my childhood days…cricket with friends, ghost stories, the wish to become a hero to prove to the grown ups that you are good and still fear sleeping alone in a separate room with the lights turned off!!

Aah..the childhood days….

FREAKY NELSON….

Power of S had in the recent past written a post about Nelson, the supposedly unlucky score of 111 or its multiples on which cricket umpire David Shepherd raises his one leg. And then he told me that I too will get the Nelson curse….I am not sure about the unlucky part but freaky it sure has been since I got the curse because I have been seeing the Nelson number somewhere or the other almost everyday since then..and its almost two weeks now..

1) The clock on my office computer seems to be perpetually at 1:11 pm. Its freaking me out because I am seeing that time of the day almost everyday for the past two weeks…and no, I do not check the time deliberately or subconsciously or whatever…

2) I opened the book I was reading and the page number that showed up was 111

3) The presentation day before yesterday got over exactly at 1:11 pm

4) I was about to sleep and opened my phone to set the alarm..the time was 1:11 am

5) I checked my time while going for lunch – 3:33 pm

6) The day after his curse when I flipped open my phone to call him, it was exactly 1:11 pm.

7) And the nail on the coffin, the event which prompted me to write this post..the number of message in my gmail account at this moment.. 1111
